How do i help a rape victim, what should i say and what should i not say to make things worse.?

I was raped by my ex boyfriend and when I told my friend I would have been very upset if he had told anyone (especially the police) but looking back on it now (it was two to three years ago, happened a lot) I really wish he had told someone. She may be mad at you, furious in fact, and hate you for a good while but the best thing is to call the police on it. You are actually breaking the law by not telling and I promise you that it will help her in the long run if you tell the police NOW before it happens again. You will have to just tough out the anger from her but you will be a better person and friend for telling. Good luck, I'm here to talk if you just need someone to listen.
