Orange light on my Canon SX20 Camera?

I tried to upload photos today on my computer from my camera, but for some reason when I connected the cable from my camera to the computer, my computer couldn't recognize anything. I noticed that whenever I turn my camera on, there is an orange light instead of a green light. And when I plug it in, it turns into a green light. Normally, it would be switched around - green when it's turned on, and orange when it's connected to my computer. Why has it done this?
