This Father's Day just wondering why so many fathers are absent, abusive, or just plain screwups?

There are great ones out there, too, of course. But they are definitely in the minority. (I actually emailed one today to wish him a happy FD.) Still, there are so many more terrible ones. Even some of the ones who are good to their children are terrible to the mother of their children (cheating, lying, etc). Even if a dad provides financially for the family, he might still be absent (ignore them) or not have an emotional connection with his kids. Seriously, what's up with this?
