Suspicious nodule, follicular neoplasm?

Follicular and hurthle cell thyroid cancer is difficult to diagnose without removing part or all of the thyroid gland with the nodule. It varies based on the patient, but up to 80% of these nodules are benign. Your mother could always go get a second opinion and see what her options are.
